This question involves stories of fantasy. Are fantasy stories of incest, underage sex and other taboo subjects legal to write and sell? And can they be mailed through the post?

The statute, 18 U.S.C. section 2256, forbids "visual depiction," not the written word, in my opinion. However, you can read it for yourself.
