Alimony in Florida..

I am a woman residing in Indiana, married in Florida.. (Key West)

Am I able aquire alimony if divorced, if so, after how many years.... What constitutes a "long term marraige" Thank you..

Re: Alimony in Florida..

It will depend where you are divorced. If you are divorced in Florida the general rule is a 12 year marriage will qualify a spouse for permanent alimony. You may also qualify for temporary or rehabilative support. I cannot tell you the law of Indiana.
