Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Child support = no place to live....

Well This is a case in Florida W.P.B. I am a father of two young men 5 and 2 years young. I have tried to get coustody of them through the courts and because i did not have a lawyer to repersent me i have to pay 608 dollars in child support and I dont make much at all i only make 11.00 dollars an hour and work about 30-40 but more like 35 hours. Now how am i going to pay a 650 rent, 200 car payment, 150 gas so far 1000 just off the needs not including the Insurance.. nor water, electric.... but i have to find a way to pay 608 in child support. Please Help me...

There's nothing more expensive than not having a lawyer.

Assuming the mother makes minimum wage or doesn't work, I calculate your support at $511 per month. If she pays day care and/or health insurance, then your child support would be more, so the amount you pay sounds about right. The numbers are what they are if they are correct, and the only thing you can do is find a better job or a second job. Kids come first.

You may want to sit down with a lawyer and make sure all the numbers that went into calculating support are correct.
