Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

child support

My child is 15 yoa. Her father and I were never married nor is he on the birth cerificate. Right after my pregnancy we split up. He has had several arrest for domestic violence, ( on his new girlfriend at the time) and had some charges of lewd behavior on minors. I never requested child support out of fear he would have visitation rights and I wasn't sure if she would be in dager or not. He hasn't had any contact with her until about 2 mths ago, he found out from my mother where we lived and just showed up. Wanting to take her off and buy her things, but when child support was mentioned he left and hasn't spoke to her since. She wants to sue him for child support but doesn't want to be forced to see him. We are both concerned that why he wants to spend time with her now that she is 15. I have my thoughts, and it scares my. Does she have any legal rights to sue and what would the process be.

Re: child support

She cannot sue, you must sue on her behalf. If he asks for visitation, it will be up to the court, obviously his past crimes against minors will be a strike against him. He might be given supervised visitation rights.
