Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

my ex-boyfriend and i have not yet received a court date for custody of our son. he lives in chicago and i live in florida with our son. Our son is 18 months old and I am taking him to Chicago this weekend for a visit. His father has made threats to me in the past about taking our son from me. Am I justified in not allowing them to have alone time together during this visit?

If he has threatened to "steal" your son, you are probably justified in denying visitation, but you should sit down witha a lawyer and explain your entire situation to be sure. A lawyer can also probably help you get a court date.
