Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Income Tax

In my divorce decree it stats that as long as I am not behind in child support for the previous year, I can claim 1 of my three children. I have not been behind and my ex-wife refuses to sign off on the tax form.

She cliams ''I don't have to sign this''.

What can I do? Where do I go with this, family court or IRS?

Thank-you.

Re: Income Tax

Your're headed back to divorce court and have her issued a Rule to Show Cause why she should not be held in contempt. Your decree is your proof to the IRS that the 1 deduction is legitimate.

The IRS don't care as long as the taxes get paid by somebody!
