Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

Trying to move out of state

I have a 3 1\2 month old daughter and live with my grandmother in Florida. My boyfriend and I recently split up and he has not made an attempt to see her in 3 weeks but insists that he wants custody. I want to move back to Ohio to be with my family. How do I go about doing this? What are my chances of being able to move? Thank you!!!

Re: Trying to move out of state

You should seek legal assistance with this as Florida law has very detailed requiremens for relocation of a parent and child. You have to follow certain steps carefully, then he has an opportunity to object and if he does, the judge will decide based on MANY factors whether the move is in the child's best interests.
