Legal Question in Family Law in Florida

My son lives with my parents, I pay support to ex- wife

We divorced in AL, my exwife lives in FL, I pay her child support, my son is 18, and may be going to college this year in Al, he will be residing with my parents in AL while in college. Can I stop paying her and give the money to him for college? Also, if he does not get to go to college, can he leave his mother and stay with someone else or on his own or must he stay with her? He doesnt want to be with her and her husband anymore, my parents address is also my address, but I stay on travel with my job and am never there. Please help, and thank you.

Well, you have to pay her the child support until he is 19, college will have to be dealt with specifically if it isn't already in the decree.

Read your divorce decree. If it does not cover this situation you will need to seek a court modification.
