Pregnant and Fired

I was at my job for a little over six months, i found out i was pregnant and have several apointments and then was in the hospital because of complications due to pregnancy. When i went to return to work they told me they had to fire me because of missing to many days. Is this legal even though i have a doctors note from every day missed due to pregnancy?

YOu mighed have a pregnancy discrimination case under teh federal and state statutes. Feel free to call or e-mail my office if you wish to pursue it further. Act quickly though, you need in most cases to file a charge with the EEOC within 300 days of your termination.
