Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

I have had a roof leak in my Florida condominium for 1 1/2 years and have been asking the association to repair the leak before damage is incurred inside. There has been no response from the assoc. Now the ceiling and walls of the condo are damaged. I am going to hire a contractor to do the work on the roof and interior. Can I sue for repairs that I incur on the inside of the condo as well as the roof?
