Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Florida

A sattelite tv company has had an attorney contact me for using my home receiver at my business. My bar is not making much money rather, it has lost me money. This attorney told us that they want 15,000 dollars from us. We cannot pay this.my husband and I work full time at regular jobs away from the bar and make. Up the deficit from this business out of our paychecks. What are our legal rights?

First, I assume you know that it's a violation of your satellite TV contract to use your personal system for business purposes. You really have no "legal rights" when you violate the terms of a contract. You need to negotiate a settlement with the attorney and work out a payment plan for the negotiated amount.

Agree with the above. Determine how the attorney came up with the 15K. Is this part of the agreement? Is this penalty clause proper? These are the questions you need to ask. Want to know the law?
