Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Florida

Someone has a cd with cartoons characters on it for sale....such as tweety bird, batman, mickey mouse, betty boop , tazmanian devil...just to name a few. He states that the images can be use in craft projects. I am wanting to create and put the images on a product to sale(clock). He assured me I would be able to do that, and I want to make sure it is legal before doing it. He also has a cd with autographed pictures of stars on it that I am wanting to use for the same product.

I would be very cautious. Speak to a trademark or copyright attorney. Sounds like copyright infringement to me.
