Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Florida

Music copies

I would like to make copies of old LP albums and cassettes and put the music onto CD's for myself and others for a profit. I am concerned about copyright laws. Can I legally perform this action if I do not keep/share/sell the electronic copy of the music? Would I need permission from the record publisher? Would I need to pay royalties? What would a fair royalty be?

Re: Music copies

You don't get to legally make money off of the property/rights of others without paying for them. What is fair varies.
