Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Can an Employer shift your time to keep you from receiving your over time you worked. I work for a hospital in FL. and I worked what is called (UBS) unscheduled bonus shifts. Basically picking up an extra day during the pay period. Long story short. I worked {4} (UBS) shifts. time span from Nov through Christmas. which they hadn't paid me for. I raised a stink about not getting paid. So when I left on Vacation chirstmas day I took {3} days off without pay and when I came back and received my paycheck. They took {2) of UBS shifts and transfered the time that I took off and refuses to pay me my overtime or my shift bonus money.

No this does not sound legal. You must be paid overtime worked within EACH pay period. If you are supposed to be paid an additional wage for picking-up the UBS shift, then they must pay you that too.
