Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

Help...I believe my employer is trying to bully me into taking a position that they have been unable to fill for several months due to it's location. I have been with my employer for 5 and a half years and I have received above average and outstanding evaluations the entire time. I was also recently nominated for an award in my field by my supervisor and I was the only employee he nominated. However when the decision was made to close my location, my co-worker who has been with my company for less than two years was placed in a position less than 10 minutes from my home. But I am being told the only position available for me is in another city about 40 miles away. The job given to my co-worker is exactly the same job I'm being offered. I reminded my supervisor and his boss that I care for a disabled parent who lives with me and that I use my lunch breaks to administer his medication and feed him. I said I was willing to take the job if I received a pay increase to help pay for a home aide. I was denied the pay increase and told that if I don't take the position I would be asked to resign. I know that doing so would effect my ability to recive unemployment while I search for a new job. Is there any way for me to fight back?

No, unless you have a contract that would prevent tis, which I doubt. If you resign, no unemployment benefits. If they fire you, you get the benefits.
