Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I was refused vacation time

I was on a job, which i recently resigned, for 2 years where I was the only person working at this office for a year. I have never had a vacation and my now ex-employer refused to give me vacation time stating I couldn't take vacation until someone was hired that would be capable of running office while i'm out. What, if any, are my legal rights at this time?

Re: I was refused vacation time

It depends on your contract. Since you have resigned, you probably have no rights or leverage. If your employment contract included vacation time, then you would have the right to sue for the value of that time off.
