If you are female and your male boss tells you one time to stop your bitching, I would suggest that act alone is not sexual discrimination. While the term bitch is not gender neutral, the act of bitching may be. Yes, one event may equal discrimination, that would be rare and the event would have to be more than a simple comment. If there have been many other comments or an adverse action, such a demotion or termination, that you believe was based on sex, then you should talk the entire situation over with an employment attorney.
