Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I have been unhappy at my job for a little while now. My supervisor's called me in for a meeting yesterdayand asked me what was going on. They had noticed the change in my attitude and wanted to know what was going on. They asked me if I was happy and I told them the truth that know I was unhappy and wouldn't say to much else. I then told them I was looking elsewhere. They said they would get back to me today and they did. They called me back in and told me that they accepted my resignation. I told them that I never resigned nor did I ever say I quit. They persisted to say I don't need to write or sign a resignation that I said I was unhappy and looking was me giving my resignation I have never been written up or any disciplinary actions taken on me. Can they do this and also I would not beable to collect unemployment if they say I resigned could I. But anyway we left the room by me saying that I did not quit or resign and I would see them Tuesday. Do I have any rights about my job

Sounds like you have been fired. Apply for unemployment when appropriate. Write a letter confirming the conversation.
