Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

At will employment/terminations

You are an ''At will employee'' of a corporation based in California which requires 2 weeks notice of employment resignation. Can the employer terminate the resigning employee on the day of resignation without paying the employee through the end of the required 2 week resignation period? If the employee does not give a full 2 week notice (8 work days)does this alter the answer for the above question?
