Legal Question in Employment Law in Florida

I currently work in Florida as an adjuster for a insurance carrier in Tampa. I was placed on 90 day probation on August 10, 2009 and the 90th day was November 13, 2009. During the time of this probationary period I was suppose to met with my manager every Friday to review how I was doing, but those meetings never occurred instead he sent me emails. My human resources department manager told me that the emails were enough to comply with the signed agreement instead of me meeting with my manager weekly. There was also the issue I raised that I felt I was being discriminated against due to the fact I was only adjuster in the office under review, when in fact others in the office were doing the same things I was but did not get written up. When I asked them on 11/13/09 if I was off of probation all my manager said is that home office had not come to decision and they were working to extent "this probationary period" which I do not agree for another 30 day and even then I am not sure I will get an answer. My question is can they do this to me ......keeping in the dark and not giving me an answer?

Probably -- but it would really depend on your contract with the company and what rights you have under the agreement. To know or provide any advice a lawyer would need to review the contract.
