Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

Is my landlord responsible for my damaged wooden furniture due to termite infestation? My apartment home is infested inside and out and constant swarming. Landlord was notified beginning of May and has just now informed me they will have an inspector to come by so they can "explore" their options to tent or do something else. I also need to know if they are responsible for my lodging if home is tented.

Depends on what your lease states.

Your lease controls. Someone should review it. Termites swarm and can occur rather quickly. Damage however usually occurs over some time. You should determine the status of the furniture and the treatment needs or replacements requirements before you start requesting the landlord to be responsible. They probably will be responsible for the lodging for one or two nights while the tenting occurs, unless they do a spot treatment that does not require you to move.
