Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I live in an apartment complex in Saint Petersburg, FL. We have a termite infestation. Terminex frequents the complex once a week to address the all of the tenant's complaints. It has gotten to the point where I am now seeing termite dust on my clothes in my wood dresser, so they are ruining my furniture as well. I have been living here for over a year and Terminex has been to my apartment about 4-5 times with no resolve. When I talked to the manager of my apartment complex about another bug issue before she became irate and fought me on treating the issue. I had to show her the Florida law of landlord to tenant before she did anything about it. And she went on to tell me what I showed her was outdated and changed from 2013 to 2014 (which was not true) but since Ive signed the lease before the law changed she would take care of the system. Now, I essentially want to have this termite issue resolved or terminate my lease but given how rude the manager is already due to my past experience, what are my rights and what are the protocols how of to address this with my landlord so that I will get my security deposit back if I choose to leave before my lease ends and not be charged early termination?

Your lease controls. Have the actual written lease reviewed by an attorney. As for the termite issue in your unit, you can spot treat on your own, if necessary if you have localized where the termites are residing.
