Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Florida

I don't know if this is the right section. My younger brother emotionally and verbally coerces our mother into kicking my fiance and me out of her house (in Jacksonville, FL), where I had been a live-in caregiver (making sure her medications are properly taken, driving her to doctor appointments, etc...). Since I had been doing these things for several years, can I be kicked out with only a few hours notice, or must I be served with an eviction? It wasn't until we had already left that someone had told me that I should have been served with an eviction notice of some sort. What are my options if any?

Since you were originally on the premises with permission, technically, you could have stayed until evicted. Too late now that you left.

The failure to follow eviction process does not give you any options now that you are out.
