Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Florida

I live on a private road in Fl that was dedicated to the traveling public in 1971. The county never accepted the dedication and does not maintain it as it does not meet county standards. Each one of us that lives on the road has paid to pave it and maintain it. I live at the very end. An area which is not paved and has been gated off for the past 25 years as animal pasture. A developer purchased the 88 acres that abutts the end of the road and has removed the fencing and plans to use it for access to his property which already has access from another road. There is a 25 ft right of way on either side of the road. The developer has never paid for any maintainence. We have asked the county to vacate their interest in the road but the petitiion was denied.......Do the homeowners that have paid to maintain the road have any recourse?
