Legal Question in Traffic Law in Florida

I got pulled over today, i saw the cop on the side of the road with their lights on, by the time i saw them i was unable to switch lanes because of heavy traffic so i slowed my speed by almost 20mph and kept my foot on the brakes so the cop could see i was slowing down. He gave me a ticket and said if i had my blinker on it would be different and told me that i didnt even make an attempt so slow down but he didnt clock me so how does he know. My question is would i have an argument to get it thrown out in court?

Argue until you are blue in the face. But, to argue as the devil's advocate, do you think it is okay to speed and then slow way down when you see a cop? Is it okay to break the law if no one is watching? If a tree falls in the forrest, does it make a noise if no one is there to hear it?

You want a "pass" just because the cop didn't really see you try to slow down? I don't get your argument, but you are free to present it to a traffic court judge and perhaps s/he will see it more favorably.
