spouse unsecured personal debt

Is a spouse in Georgia liable to pay the non-cosigned personal unsecured credit card debts of a spouse?

The spouse has had a debilitating stroke.

The spouse is not responsible for such debt if he/she did not agree to be. However, any assets that are in the other spouse's name could be subject to any collection effort or judgment obtained by the credit card company.

If the spouse did not sign on for the credit card, he/she is not liable.
