Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Georgia

Slander

I recently left the hair salon I was working in, and have since recieved numerous phone calls from my clients telling me horrible things that the stylists, as well as the owner, of that salon have said about me in attempt to get these clients to keep coming to the shop. These things include personal information about my license, etc.that are absolutely not true. What is considered slander, and how do I know if I have a case?

Re: Slander

Slander: untrue statements which cause emotional/monetary damage. Intentional infliction of emotional distress, intentional interference with business contracts are perhaps others.

Consult a trial lawyer in your town. Check with your local Bar Association for references. Initial consultations/case evaulations are usually at no cost. Ask first.
