time limitation for filing suit

what is the time limit for filing suit for sexual discrimination, rape? what if legal representation does not respond?

Probably two to four years if you are talking about a civil claim, but it depends on the circumstances.

Glenn is correct that a general civil claim, filed in state court, has a two year statute of limitaitons.

However, if you want to take advantage of federal laws such as sex discrimination and sexual harassment under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act (which you most likely do), you must first file a charge with the EEOC. This must be done within 180 days of the last discriminatory act or last harassing behavior.
