Husband's debt harm me?
My husband and I are both listed on our mortgage. My husband became disabled and has not worked for 7 mos. He has not been able to collect unemployment or sickness benefits. He is two months behind in his truck payment (which is in his name). He has a lot of other debt such as child support (over $3,000 behind) and high-balance credit cards in his name that are not yet behind. We are really struggling on my paycheck. How will his outstanding debt affect me legally?

Any assets with his name on it might be subject to any judgments against your husband. Assets that are solely in your name should be protected.
