Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Georgia

if you are involved in a civil suit and you forget to attend and the judge rule in the other person's favor in a ridiculous amount, is there anything you can do to stop the garnishment of wages. i borrowed 1,500 dollars and the judge ruled in favor of other party for over 10,000 dollars.

When you forget to attend court, you lose. That's your fault. There are no do-overs when you choose to ignore a summons. (You would have a right to appeal in the first 30 days).
