Legal Question in Criminal Law in Georgia

Child Cruelity

My daughter has been arrested in GA and being charged with child cruelity. She is 22 and this is the first time she has ever been in trouble, she is mentally disabled and recieves disability. My question is how much time if any will she get/or is this considered noncrimal? She is in the detention center now with 7000.00 bond we would like for her to get the help that she needs, since this has been a problem for her since childhoood (mental). Could you give me some help or point me in the right direction.

Thank you in advance for your time and effort.

Betty

Re: Child Cruelity

Your daughter needs representation in the state where the charges are made. Do not delay as many matters are involved with your daughter's case and disposition may vary. She needs representation in order to avoid potential criminal liability. She also stands to loose her children however this is factual based inquiry and I do not know any of the relevant matters that your questions speaks of. I cannot emphasize enough that you should not delay with obtaining the service of an attorney. Please understand that I am not licensed in Georgia and it would be cost prohibitive for me to provide representation on this matter. (410) 799-9002

Re: Child Cruelity

Your child needs representation regarding the cruelty to children charges. She may need representation regarding the issue of custody, if it is her child to whom she has allegedly been guilty of cruelty. The facts you have presented do not give a complete enough picture to address the issues further at this time.
