Normally yes.

However, there are exceptions to the rule, inlcuding, 1) the birth father objects and files a petiiton to modify the custody arrangement, whichresults in the the court prohibiting you from having overnight guests of the opposite sex; (2) the boyfriend is a child molester and he has been prohibited from living with children; (3) there are other problems that causes CPS to remove the child from the house; or (4) some other event or circumstances that brings CPS or the courts into the matter.
