Legal Question in Family Law in Georgia

my daughter paid a local lawyer 500.00 ,for a divorse ,five years ago . the lawyer never went to court for her , the lawyer did-not refund her money .my daughter also sent a certified letter, requesting her reckords . never got them. talked to court ,talked to judge , nothing ever done ~ what can she do ?

Obviously, if your daughter thinks that there is a problem with her case and does not trust her lawyer, she should retain another lawyer to discuss the status. That is not something to resolve on a website, with vague second or third hand comments about her lawyer. No one here knows anything about the case.

$500 would be far too little except for the simplest uncontested case, so how much does she still owe the lawyer?
