sherrif served papers?

my husban was served with child support papers from his ex wife, the papers are over 1 year old and most of the info is incorrect, i.e. they are divorse now, his ex has a full time job and the child is in the process of being adopted by her husband, now my hubby has a court day but all the info is wrong what should we do so they wont go by the incorrect info?
