Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

I am buying a 1994 J30 Infiniti from a local used car dealer. It was in fairly good condition until I started having acceleration problems. It's being sold as is but I consulted with the dealer for advice on a reputable auto shop because I am not from this area. I then proceeded to have a local mechanic check the car and was told the problem was a fuel injector. After consulting with the dealer again I was told to bring the car and he would fix the car. It has now been almost two months and I still dont have my car back. He doesn't want to give me my car so I can get it repaired on my own and yet he is not repairing the car. I am still making the required payments. What can I do leagally to get my car?

Why doesn't he want to give it back?

I would provide written notice, via certified mail return receipt requested, to the car dealer that you want your car back.

If that doesn't work, you may want to get an attorney involved or take the dealer to small claims court.
