Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Employment

My husband was recently offered employment he signed his offer letter and two business days before he was suppose to start work, the company contacted him and told him they selected another candidate. Can they do this? (of course, there are a couple more details) but I am trying to keep it short and to the point

Employment is generally "at will" and can be terminated, or denied, for any or no reason (with very few exceptions based on discrimination). Unless those missing details included a contract for a certain term, they can probablydo it. Presumably, your husband likely had equal freedom to change his mind at any point.
