receiving pay once you've quit a job

i was a salaried employee in the state of ga. on march 17 i quit my job. the next pay date was march 28, and i did not get my check. is their any reason they can hold the two weeks pay for that pay period and the pay for the two weeks i worked in the whole?

There could be many possible reasons, but it would just be guessing with no knowledge whatsoever of the relevant facts. Presumably, you have taken the obvious first step of calling them and asking about it, but you don't state what their response was. Your post also fails to clearly state what does you worked, for which you did not get paid. You do not state what "that pay period" includes and what "two weeks I worked in the whole" mean. Call the payroll office.
