Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Is it a violation of freedom of speech to be suspended for a conversation you had with another associate explaining things that happened to you regarding another associate when you are not in management? A few weeks ago an associate and I where discussing things that a supervisor had done via email the associate was telling me issues that where going on in there department and I shared some of the same issues that we had with that supervisor. The associate had already opened up a case with HR about the issues and I did advise that if he needed me to backup what I said I would but I was never called to HR. The end result the supervisor was terminated as well as the associate for there time management.Bringing things to date I was called in the office by the associates Manager telling me that the associate was fired and they pulled his records and found a conversation between he and I and that I told him information that he didn't know about (even though this is information that happened to me) and I was suspended until there investigation was completed. What I do not understand is 3 weeks ago a supervisor devulge information to another associate about me personal information and I did report it as well as that associate as of to date nothing has happened to the supervisor but yet I am on suspension possibly terminated.
