Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

Eviction

My ex-fiancee and I are no longer together. I have asked that he move his stuff out of the apartment. The lease is in my name and he is not on it but he is refusing to move his stuff out. What can I do to remove him from the apartment?

Re: Eviction

Assuming you do not have a written lease with him as the tenant, you are required to give him 60 days' notice to move out if he won't voluntarily leave before then. However, if he has breached a term of your verbal lease agreement, you can ask him to leave almost immediately, but with a reasonable amount of time to move his things.
