Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Georgia

Circumcision

My grandchild was circumcised when he was a newborn and he is 6 mos old now and has had regular checkups with his prediatrician. During his last visit, the physician pulled the skin back on penis, which now was severed and without informing my daughter what she was doing. The baby screamed as he experienced excruciating pain. His entired penis bled and my daughter was told to keep the skin pulled back.

Before 6 mos of age, during examination the previous visits, the physician should have been able to recognize a potential problem and they did not. As I result, the baby suffered and the family is still agonizing over this.

Are there any legal ramifications?
