Many personal injury lawyers will discuss the case with you for free, and give you an opinion of the strength of your case. If you have met with any, you need to consider their advice. If the case has a significant value, which varies by attorney, one will take your case on a contingency. Your ZIP Code is Albany, and certainly there are personal injury lawyers in the city. Call a few of them in the area (one who practices there, and one you can conveniently meet in person). Keep in mind, the lawyer will take a significant percentage. No one here can tell you what your case or claims are worth based on your post.

Many personal injury lawyers will consult for free and take a case for a contingent fee. In not talking to a lawyer and talking to the insurer, you are vastly diminishing the possible value of your case, if it is a good one.
