If you were injured, instead of making the mistake of negotiating with the insurer whose job it is to try to not pay you, stop diminishing the value of your case and retain counsel.

If the other driver ran the stop sign, my first question to you is where is the police report? Does it corroborate your version or something else? Secondly, you only have to give 60 days to the insurance company to resolve your property damage claim. I suggest you take a more aggressive approach and hire a lawyer to handle both the property damage and personal injury phase of your case. If you have specific questions contact my office for a case evaluation.

How much are your damages - you did not say? Negotiate and settle it with them, or hire a lawyer. Keep in mind that a lawyer will take from 25-40% of the recovery for fees so for a small case of just minor damage to your car you may or may not come out ahead with a lawyer.
