Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

Mva

My three children and I were rear-ended in an MVA, the insurance company has offered to pay $500 for pain and inconvenience for each of us. Should I be getting more?

Re: Mva

Hello, I am sorry to hear about your accident. Insurance companies often make low offers to people shortly after an accident in an effort to quickly resolve the matter.

The amount you recover will be related to how serious you or your children's injuries are.

If you would like to contact my office I can discuss the matter with you and tell you if the offer is reasonable given the nature and extent of the injuries you sustained in the collision.

With kindest regards,

David A. Lipton

Re: Mva

It is always a mistake to negotiate on your own with the insurer and you may have already done damage to your case. Although we have no way to value your case (knowing which insurance company it is, the facts of the accident, the extent of injuries, the amount of property damage and other details is essential), insurers typically offer far less to those without lawyers. See a lawyer and do not talk to the insurer before you do. Act quickly so your time to make a claim does not expire.
