Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

Hi, I was rear ended while at stop light by another vehicle. I sustained minimal injury. I obtained a

attorney, My attorney said he negotiated a settlement 15,000. He later changed to 12,000. He sent

papers for me to sign to release my portion of the settlement which was 4,500 after his fees also

doctor fees. The papers he sent states total payment received 19,000 plus . He told me he negotiated

12,000 minus 30% for his charge and minus 3,750 for medical payment, which left me with a little more than 4,500. We also agreed on an attorney fee of 29% before he started the case.

Do my attorney have to show me details of a settlement if requested? What do you think is going on with this settlement? How would direct me to handle this case? I can send you a copy of prepared

settlement sheet if needed. I did not sign the papers yet.

Ask for full written details, and mos lawyers will be glad to provide, and schedule a visit if you don't understand. You should already have your initial fee agreement. Otherwise, no one here can tell you what is going on based on your confusing post and this is an anonymous general info website so you don't send documents here.

No one here has seen your fee agreement or settlement statement, which would contain the answers. If the numbers do not match, sit down with your attorney and go over them.
