Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

Leaves falling in neighbor's yard

My tree in my front yard partially overhangs into my neighbor's yard. She wants me to cut branches back so she doesn't have to pick up leaves in her yard from my tree. Claims she is sick and cannot pick up. I don't think I am responsible. Please let me know.

Thank you.

Re: Leaves falling in neighbor's yard

You don't have to pick up the leaves in her yard. You don't have to cut your tree. However, she has the legal right to cut YOUR tree at her boundary line along the vertical boarder. Most folks talk about it but never do it. Hugh Wood
