private loans

my mother who is 72 and lives on fixed income,has sold her home. the loan contract was drawn up by local lawyer. the other party does not pay as the contract states. this puts finicial hurt on my mother. what and is there any thing that can be done?

Without knowing the terms of the "loan contract" (such as, did the buyer execute a deed to secure debt) this question cannot be answered.
