Legal Question in Business Law in Illinois
Illinois Late Payment Interest Charge.
I contract work for State of Illinois. I currently have over 50K payments that are over-due to me from the State. I'd like to charge interest based on their ''prompt payment act''. Can i file documents on my own?
Thanks,
L.

There is no law that requires you to hire an attorney unless you file in court and your company is a business entity, not a sole proprietorship.
