can i bow hunt

i was convicted of a folony about seven years ago can i hunt with a bow

and can i ever own a gun

Hello. It is my understanding that you are a

convicted felon. If this is so, you will be

prohibited from being in possession of a gun.

Since a bow could be classified as a weapon, I

suggests that you refrain from being in possession of a bow as well. If you sought a

pardon from the Governor of the State of Illinois

and the pardon was granted, your rights could be

restored and you could then have the privilges

of others. However, in the city of Chicago it is

a felony to possess a handgun. This is probably

the case in comparable municipalities in Illinois. I hope my answer has been helpful and
