Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Illinois

I have a court date I was never notified of. A process server looked for me at my mom's address but they have not yet served me and did not let my mom know what it was about or leave anything with her. The case is a credit card case and the charge off date was December 2011. What do I do?

IF they have not served you, or have not claimed that they have served you, you do not have a court date, They must file an affidavit of service. If they do so, even if it not correct, and you do not appear, then they will obtain a default judgment against you. A charge off date in 2011 does not stop them.
