Legal Question in Family Law in Illinois

Family Divorce

I have a 17 year son who ran away from my ex-husband. My son did come back to his dads and when I called to see if he was ok he told me couldn't handle living with his dad or going to school and wants to come live with me his bilogical mother. During the Divorce my ex was able to get custody of my 10 year old daughter and 17 year old son I do have joint custody but my ex has sole custody. What should I do? I love my son and daughter very much and only want the best for them. My 17 year old doesn't want to go back to my ex-husband. I do see my daughter and son for visitation. I need your help.

Re: Family Divorce

Depends on how old your son is.

when he's 18, he can go to any school he wants to and live anywhere he wants to. so if he's 17 and 11 months you can probably run out the clock. if he just turned 17 yesterday you need to go to court.

as to your daughter depends on what you want. the whole situation needs to be evaluated.

if fees are an issue, i can set you up with a prepaid legal service
